KIRBY, ETOLA F. (SCHUG) Of Grand Blanc, age 101, died Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Per Etola's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, to celebrate Etola's life, show an act of kindness to someone. Etola was born in Laotto, Indiana on September 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Herbert and Io (Gorrell) Schug. She graduated from Marcellus High School, Class of 1938 and graduated from LaSalle Beauty Academy in Kalamazoo. Etola married Leslie Kirby on October 24, 1942 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She enjoyed gardening, walking, lunch with friends and especially spending time with her family. Etola was the manager of Mi Lady Beauty Salon in Kalamazoo for 47 years. Surviving are daughter, Dolores (David) Lawson of Grand Blanc; Grandchildren, Joseph (Stephanie) Lawson of Rochester, NY and Sarah (Matthew) Gemberling of Durham, NC; Great-grandchildren, Natasha Lawson and Jack Gemberling; And brother, Richard Schug of Marcellus, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie in 1970, brothers, Arlo Schug, Lewis Schug and David Schug.
