Esther M. Howard

Esther M. Howard, 97, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died peacefully Nov. 16, 2023, at Bethany Care Center in Canton, OH. Born in Kalamazoo, MI, she was the youngest of Newell and Fannie Pond's family of "puddles", which also included her sisters Janette and Barbara. Esther married Robert Howard in 1947, and the couple welcomed three children -- Thomas, David and Anita -- who helped expand the family with 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A long-time resident of North Canton, OH, she is survived by her children, Tom (Lisa), David (Katie), and Anita (Jeff), plus her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pre-deceased by her parents, sisters, and husband, Esther will be interred at a later date in the family plot in Kalamazoo's Riverside Cemetery. Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.
