Esther Forslund

Esther Mary Forslund of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at the age of 100. She was born November 3, 1915 in Holland, MI to the late Howard and Jennie (Peel) Woodhams. Esther was united in marriage to Harold Forslund on September 26, 1936, who preceded her in death on November 9, 2004. Esther is survived by her children, Janice (Ron) Orosz, Tom Forslund and RuthAnn (Royce "Corky") Lueck; 5 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brother, Ivan Woodhams; and several nieces and nephews. Esther was also preceded in death by sister, Ruth Van Pelt; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Woodhams. The family will greet friends on Friday, July 15th from 10-11am at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where a funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Rev. James Dyke will officiate services. Committal service will be at Grand Prairie Cemetery, following cookies and coffee. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Esther's name may be directed to Westwood Fire Department, Hospice care of SW Michigan or to Kairos Dwelling.
