Erna Glessner

Erna M. Glessner, of Lapeer formerly of Schoolcraft passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the age of 94. Erna was the daughter Leon and Elizabeth (Hoverman) Wood. She was born on August 27, 1921 in Prairie Ronde Township, MI.

Erna is survived by her daughter Kay Bivens, of VA; dauther-in-law: Robbie Glessner, of Lapeer; five grandchildren: Raymond Glessner, Scott (Kim) Glessner, Barbara (Steve) Rezzonico, Larry (Lisa) Bivens, Lisa (Joshua) McDaniel; 14 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She is also survived by her two sister: Lora Boodt and Bertha Shapard; sister-in-law: Velura Wood; three friends: Linda Dubey, Onalee Young, and Rosemary Sclaud. She is preceded in death by two children: Elizabeth and Marshall Glessner; siblings: Walter Wood, Bill Wood; son-in-law: Rodger Bivens; sister-in-law: Betty Wood; two brother-in-laws: Robert Boodt and Charles Shapard.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-3 pm at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 9300 West XY Ave, Schoolcraft. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3 pm at the church. Burial at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
