Eric A Burgess died tragically in a drowning accident on the Alafia river in Riverview FL 1 yr ago today. Eric was a grad of Mattawan and WMU (Bachelors in Engineering-97). He loved his Mattawan & Fiji frat brothers and his golfing buddies at Buckhorn in FL but most of all he loved his kids-Ella, Dylan, & Chloe. He loved to go fishing, travel, golf and just have fun with his kids. His kids will carry on his name and habits for sure-smart & funny Eric is survived by his mother, Sharon DeLeeuw Burgess (Jack), sister Kathy (Scott), brother Kenneth (Mary Jo). He was predeceased by his Dad, Leroy, grandparents Wes & Grace DeLeeuw, grandparents Dana & Helen Burgess, and his brother Keith (Nancy) died June 2020 Eric donated his organs & was cremated and laid to rest in Riverview FL at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
