Emery Knipfel

Emery Knipfel, 74, passed away Monday afternoon in Kalamazoo. He was born April 7, 1946 in Iowa Falls, IA to the late Earl and Gertrude (Kalkwarf) Knipfel. Emery was united in marriage to Anna Osborn on November 13, 1971. Emery worked for 30 years as a lineman/line manager at a communications company and enjoyed farming and woodworking in his free time. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Emery is survived by his wife, Anna M. Knipfel; children, Anna (Les) Corkill, Mike (Wendy) Schippers and Maryann (Josh) Knipfel; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Joan) Knipfel, Janice Knipfel and Jimmy (Nancy) Knipfel; and several nieces and nephews. At the family's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date to be announced. Services are entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo.
