Eloine Theobald

Theobald, Eloine "Ellie" Eloine Kathryn Theobald, age 92, passed away on September 23rd, 2022 at the Fountains at Bronson Place. She was a longtime resident on Indian Lake in Vicksburg. She was born in Elkhart, Indiana on February 9, 1930 to Levi and Kathryn Arnold and graduated from Elkhart High School, where she met her high school sweetheart and future husband Wayne Theobald. She studied at Manchester College before marrying and raising a family. She is survived by her husband of 70 years; brother Gary Arnold (Pauline); daughter Amy Bowman (Eric); sons Peter and Mark (Ruth); 3 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Carol Roberts, and grandchildren Kate Bowman and Corey Theobald. Ellie was a founding member of Skyridge Church of the Brethren in Kalamazoo, and was their long-time organist. Music, arts & crafts, and literacy were her passions, especially playing keyboard duets with her sister Carol. She served on the board of the Vicksburg District Library and was an avid reader.
