Elizabeth Warber

WARBER - Elizabeth Ann Warber, 67, of Grand Rapids, died Thursday evening, March 17th, 2011. She was born June 22nd, 1943 in Detroit, MI. and was the daughter of the late Paul and Miriam (Johnston) Stieler. Betty received her teaching degree from Michigan State University, and was a 3rd grade teacher that loved children. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, and time at the family cabin. Betty was a lively, enthusiastic person to be around and had a large circle of friends and was a member of the Women's City Club. She enjoyed serving and caring for people, as reflected by 25 years as a volunteer at Butterworth Hospital. Betty is survived by her two daughters, Anne (Matt) Carlson, and Samantha (Tim Haan) Warber; a grandson, Chase Christian Carlson; a brother Robert (Jackie) Stieler and loving former husband Bill Warber. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers William and Richard Stieler. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 26th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel, with Rev. Dave Ness officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, March 25th, 2011 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
