Elizabeth "Betty" LaRoy, age 97 of Kalamazoo, died on June 26, 2026. She was born on November 15, 1928, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Otto and Margaret (Whiteman) Nap. Betty attended school in Kalamazoo. On October 1, 1947, she married Maynard LaRoy. Betty was a lifelong homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to knit, sew and care for her family. Betty attended the Second Christian Reformed Church and Twin Lakes Reformed Church over the years.
Betty is survived by her children: Nancy (Don) Doerr, John (Sally) LaRoy and Charles (Vickie) LaRoy; her 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maynard and her siblings: Aapko Nap, Donald Nap, Henry Nap, Grace Schoonbeck, Thomas Nap and Otto Nap.
A private graveside service will be held at Grand Prairie Cemetery, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty may be made to benevolence fund of Second Christian Reformed of Kalamazoo. Please share condolences or memories at www.langelands.com
