Edward J. Shreve, aged 88 of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Christian Rest Home. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Shreve; his children, Mark and Barbara Shreve, Paul and Gina Shreve, Debra and Ron Rienstra; his grandchildren, Alan Shreve, Lauren Shreve, David Shreve, Stephanie Shreve, Miriam Rienstra, Jacob Rienstra, Philip Rienstra; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Ed was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He worked for Colombian Storage and Transfer Co. for over 40 years until his retirement. He was a faithful member of Westend Christian Reformed Church, 1015 Westend Ave. NW, where the service to celebrate Ed’s life will be held on Monday, April 20, at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends may meet his family on Sunday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW, and again at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the service begins at 11:00 AM. Burial in Washington Park Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to The Christian Rest Home or Westend Christian Reformed Church.
