Earl Morehouse, Jr.

Died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at his home. Mr. Morehouse was born July 2, 1922 in South Bend, IN, the son of Earl Sr. and Mary (Nagy) Morehouse. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Quincy during WW II. He had been employed by I & M Electric in the South Bend, Elkhart area for 30 years. He loved to sail and built a 30' sloop named Moonlite. Surviving are his wife, Violet; three children, Shirley and Dennis Kantz of Elkhart, IN, Linda and Michael Luka-siewicz of Belding and John Morehouse of Allegan; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry Morehouse of South Bend, IN; four sisters, Mary Boylan of Florida, Pauline Krull of Arizona, Helen Black of South Bend, IN and Martha Cooper of Allegan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marcy and four brothers and one sister. Friends may meet with the family from 1 PM Thursday until time of funeral service at 3 PM at the GORDEN FUNERAL RESIDENCE Allegan Chapel.
