Died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at his home. Mr. Morehouse was born July 2, 1922 in South Bend, IN, the son of Earl Sr. and Mary (Nagy) Morehouse. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Quincy during WW II. He had been employed by I & M Electric in the South Bend, Elkhart area for 30 years. He loved to sail and built a 30' sloop named Moonlite. Surviving are his wife, Violet; three children, Shirley and Dennis Kantz of Elkhart, IN, Linda and Michael Luka-siewicz of Belding and John Morehouse of Allegan; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry Morehouse of South Bend, IN; four sisters, Mary Boylan of Florida, Pauline Krull of Arizona, Helen Black of South Bend, IN and Martha Cooper of Allegan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marcy and four brothers and one sister. Friends may meet with the family from 1 PM Thursday until time of funeral service at 3 PM at the GORDEN FUNERAL RESIDENCE Allegan Chapel. Pastor Mike Fisher from Grace Bible Church, Elkhart, officiating. Interment Millgrove Cemetery, Valley Twp.
