Passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Kairos Dwelling surrounded by his family. Dean was born January 2, 1934 in Kalamazoo the son of the late Alvin and Eutha (Gorby) Richardson. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958. Dean was a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Zoology and Dentistry and worked in his own practice for over 50 years. He was also an active member of many Dental Societies. He was a member of First Reformed Church of Kalamazoo where he served as Elder and Deacon; and was involved with the youth program. He later became a member of Second Reformed Church where he was very active. Dean was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, especially his Canadian fishing trips for over 20 years. He enjoyed relaxing with his family at the cottage at Canadian Lakes, boating, fishing, golfing and cookouts for 40 years. After retiring, Dean became interested in making jewelry and made many beautiful necklaces. Dean especially enjoyed watching his boys and grandchildren in their various sports, spending time with his family and friends, and Western Michigan University hockey games. On July 30, 1955 Dean was united in marriage to his loving wife of nearly 65 years, MaryAnn (Keyser), who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Alan (Lynn) Richardson, Mark (Tina) Richardson, Kevin (Erin) Richardson; and 8 grandchildren, Candace (Tyler) Potter, Amanda, Brandon, Justin, Stephanie, Alex, Natalie, and Ben Richardson. A service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, March 4 at Second Reformed Church, 2323 Stadium Drive. Friends may meet the family from 5-8pm Tuesday, March 3 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street. Private interment will be in Mt.
