Stough, Dorothy Z. 3/9/1922 - 1/4/2017 Allegan Dorothy Zea Stough, 94 of Allegan, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Allegan County Medical Care Community. Dorothy was born March 9, 1922 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was married to her husband, John, for over 50 years and together raised three children. In her career life, Dorothy became a nurse, private investigator and owned her own ear piercing business. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Allegan, Business Professional Women and the Lady Elks. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, sewing and other crafts. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did and she will be greatly missed by so many. Dorothy is survived by her 3 children, Ted and Leona Stough, Linda Ware, Val and Norm Smith; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John. Friends may meet with the family from 12PM on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the funeral service will be held at 2PM, Pastor Wally Coots officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Dollars for Scholars or Allegan County Medical Care Community. Interment at Millgrove Cemetery, Valley Township.
