Dorothy Spinner

Spinner, Dorothy 9/16/1934 - 12/5/2021 Battle Creek Dorothy Lorraine Spinner, 87, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Majestic Care of Battle Creek. She was born on September 16, 1934, the daughter of Anthony and Agnes (Gnuzes) Delinsky. Dorothy graduated from Taylorville High School with the Class of 1953. She married the love of her life, Joseph Spinner Sr. on June 19, 1954 in Taylorville, IL. Dorothy worked for the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary as the Office Manager for 26 years before her retirement. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 67 1/2 years, Joseph M. Spinner Sr.; four sons, Joseph M. (Toby) Spinner Jr., Gregory (Brian Rozniarek) Spinner, Douglas Spinner, Thomas Spinner; grandchildren, Heather, Ashley, Josette, Autumn, Zachary and great grandson, William. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Mary Agnes Spinner, son, Anthony Warren Spinner and brother, Anthony Delinsky. Dorothy enjoyed playing in her Pinochle Club and bowling. She loved working in her yard and flower garden, feeding the birds, going for walks, painting, and spoiling her grandchildren. She and Joe also enjoyed antiquing, collecting trinkets, and snow-birding in Tucson, AZ. A memorial service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Friday, December 10, 2021, starting at 2:30 pm. Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
