Doris Giddings

Giddings, Doris 9/6/1923 - 8/3/2016 Kalamazoo, Doris (MacPhee) Clarke Giddings, 92, of Kalamazoo, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 3. Doris was born 9/6/1923 in Kalamazoo to Hilda and Angus MacPhee. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School. Doris worked for many years as a school secretary in both Kalamazoo and Climax, and as a sales associate at Gilmore's downtown location. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in both Kalamazoo and Climax, MI and an active member of the Kalamazoo Lioness Club. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin R. Clarke; brother, Donald MacPhee and sister, Marjorie Giddings. She leaves behind her husband, Max, daughter Jennifer (Mark) Clarke-Kinsey, stepsons, Steven (Debbie) Giddings and Robert Giddings; twin brother, Douglas MacPhee, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on September 6, 2016 at 11:00 at the Mt. Everest Cemetary. Kalamazoo Arrangements are being made by Langeland Funeral Home.
