Dora L. "Dodie" Habighorst

Dora “Dodie” L. Habighorst, age 71, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at her residence. Dodie was born in Cincinnati, OH, March 16, 1945, daughter of the late Felix and Louise (Nee: Fewell) Gilbert.

Dodie attended the University of Mississippi. On June 13, 1970 she was united in marriage to Dan W. Habighorst. She will be fondly remembered for her creativity and for her outstanding culinary skills. More than anything she cherished time spent with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband for forty-six years, Dan; her children, Dawn (Andrew) Nunn, Darci Habighorst (Donald Young); her five grandchildren, Avery, Quincy, Fiona, and Siobhan Nunn and Kayla O’Neal; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three sisters and two brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 19, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. Memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital have been suggested.
