Donna Houseman

Houseman , Donna 2/3/1927 - 12/23/2020 Portage Donna Houseman of Portage, MI. Passed onto her heavenly reward on December 23rd at age 93. Donna grew up in Dallas TX. She was an only child to John Donald and Alice Lorene Sappington. She always referred to herself as a 'Texas Twister'. Her family moved to CA where she became a bookkeeper for an auto agency. She met and married William Houseman and moved to Kalamazoo,MI. She became a licensed insurance agent. Donna or "Mimi" as we all called her was a funny, caring, loving, generous, mom,grandma and great grandmother . Donna is survived by a daughter Sherry & Michael Kendrick and their son Gus & Ellen of Mission Beach CA. And her son Bill &Deb Houseman of Portage, MI. Their 3 married children Will &Heather Houseman, April & Courtney Scott, and Kacey & Morgan Atwell. Between them they have 7 great - grandchildren. A memorial service will be at New Hope Assembly in April of 2021. Donna enjoyed winters at Surise Resort in Apache Junction, AZ. She was active in Portage senior center and attended KFirst and New Hope Assembly of God churches.
