Stamm, Donald A. 8/13/1939 - 5/7/2022 Portage Donald Alden Stamm, 82, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on May 8, 2022. Don was born August 13, 1939 to Henry and Geraldine Stamm in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School, class of 1957, where he excelled in a multitude of sports; his favorite being football and baseball. It was at Kalamazoo Central that he met the love of his life, Joan Scarlett. Don and Joan were married on September 18, 1959, and were blessed with 3 beautiful children, Wendy, Charles (Chuck), and Stacey. Don worked at Fullers (Eaton) for 25 years. After Fullers closing, he continued his career working for Kalamazoo Public Schools in the grounds and maintenance department. Don was an avid U of M fan, sports enthusiast, and talented golfer. Don's love for his family was undeniable, and he would do just about anything for his kids and grandkids. Him and Joan loved taking trips to Disney, camping, and traveling out west with them. Most people will remember Don as a caring, and loving man, but one of his most memorable attributes was his sense of humor and his ability to make anyone smile. Don is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Geraldine Stamm, his mother and father in law, Chauncey and Flossie Scarlett, siblings Joyce Frederickson, Patricia Anderson, Linda Koning, brother and sister in law Len and Marie Cramer, and nephew Larry Cramer.
