Donald E. Robotka, age 79, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Racine, July 1, 1936, son of the late George and Stella (Nee: Stloukal) Robotka.

Don was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1954”. On October 11, 1958 he was united in marriage to Carol J. Schliesmann. He proudly served in the United States Army active duty from 1961-1962. Don was employed by J.I. Case Company in the printing department for thirty-six years, retiring in 1991. After retiring, he worked as a printer at Lincoln Lutheran Home. Don and his brother Jerry began playing music in 4H in the early 50’s. Don played the guitar and Jerry the accordion. They then formed the Robotka Trio band with their mother, Stella, playing together for twenty-five years. Don loved to travel to the Wisconsin Dells and Florida beaches. More than anything he devoted and cherished time spent with his family.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Carol; his children, Daniel George (Mary) Robotka of Fond du Lac, Diana Lynn (Michael) Sullivan of Jacksonville, FL; his two grandchildren, Megan and Nicholas; one great-grandchild, Zade; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Nancy) Schliesmann, Lyle Septon, and Elaine Zlevor; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald (Connie) Robotka.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 22, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue. Entombment with Full Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M.
