Diane Schmidt

Diane Schmidt, of Vicksburg formerly of Kalamazoo, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the age of 73. Diane is the daughter of Edward and Dorothy Wechsler. She was a hairstylist for over 30 years and also a seamstress for 15 years. She loved spending time with her family. Her great granddaughter, Autumn, was the twinkle in her eye. Diane enjoyed camping and trail riding on four-wheelers. In her spare time she enjoyed doing crafts and making jewelry with her daughter Hollie and sewing with her granddaughter, Sierra. Diane and her husband Fred enjoyed going on vacation or sitting around the living room talking about old times. Diane was a very loved mom, grandma, great grandma, and best friend to many.

Diane Schmidt was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; son, Michael Volker; and parents, Edward and Dorothy Wechsler. She is survived by one daughter: Hollie DeYoung; two stepsons: Jeff and Mike Schmidt; two grandchildren: Kody and Sierra DeYoung; three step grandchildren: Abby Brown, Heather Schmidt, and Jake Schmidt; one great granddaughter: Autumn Vesel; and one brother Richard Wechsler.
