Diane Rae (Forney) Colwell passed away at her home in Sun City Center, Florida on November 22, 2017.

Diane was born October 16, 1942 the daughter of Ray and Vera Forney of Scotts, MI where she lived until moving to Otsego. Diane graduated from Otsego High School in 1960 and married her high school sweetheart, Ted Colwell in July of 1960. Together they had 3 children: Susan (Jeff) Myler of California, Monica Johnson of Florida,and Mark (Sara) Colwell of Indiana; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; her brother, Zeke (Johanne) Forney of Florida and sister, Bonnie (Dan) Schanz of Otsego; sister in law, Dawn Forney of Otsego and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Ralph.

She loved to travel, golf, bowl, fish and dance. She also was an active member of the Sun City Center Church.

She will be remembered by her smile and laughter. He favorite saying is “It is what it is.”

Visit with family and friends on Thursday, December 7th from 10 am to 11 am at the Life Story Funeral Homes; 120 S. Woodhams Street, Plainwell, MI 49080. Service will follow at 11am with Rev. Kevin Barker at the same location. There will be a graveside service at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo.
