Desmond Holt

Desmond A. Holt, age 84, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Saturday May 21, 2016 at Borgess Gardens. Desmond ws born June 14, 1931 In Ottawa, Ontario the son of Robert and Ellen (McGrath) Holt. He retired as a papermaker from KVP; he was a member of St. Augustine Cathedral, the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed fixing up older homes. Surviving are four sons, Fred (Judy) Holt of Richland, Thomas (Vicki) Holt of Kalamazoo, Robert (Mary) Holt of Indianapolis, IN, Michael (Kelly) Holt of Carmel, NY; daughter, Suzanne Lyon of Traverse City; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Faye Fidder of Canada. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rita McCarthy and Sr. Margaret Hot; brother, Robert Holt. Friends will be received 9:30 to 10:30 am Wednesday May 25, 2016 at St. Augustine Cathedral where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
