Dennis Papierz

Papierz, Dennis L. Of Kalamazoo, MI Dennis Leonard Papierz, age 81, passed away December 16, 2020 in Kalamazoo, MI. Dennis was born on October 11, 1939 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Joseph and Anna Papierz. He was the youngest of 13 children and lived on the family farm in Texas Township. Dennis loved being outdoors and working on the farm. He also had worked as a detailer at Bunca Auto Wash. Dennis was a people person and never met anyone that was not a friend. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching all sports including hockey, baseball, football, soccer, bowling, tennis, etc. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; by brothers: Eli, Joseph, Rudolf, Frank, Clarence, Bernard; sisters: Mary Skalski, Emma Kruzich, Trudi Bushouse and infant sister Virginia. He is survived by two sisters: Suzanne Stevens and Barbara Melvin; and numerous nieces and nephews. In accordance with Dennis' wishes cremation has taken place. Due to Covid concerns a memorial service and burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorials in Dennis' memory may be directed to Upjohn Community Care Center.
