Dawn Towne

Towne, Dawn D. 10/6/1946 - 11/16/2016 Otsego Dawn D. Towne, age 70 of Otsego, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Mrs. Towne was born October 6, 1946 in Allegan, Michigan, the daughter of the late Vern and Betty (Chrisman) Christman. She worked for over 6 years at Pilgrim Farms. The main thing in Dawn's life was her family. She was a true caregiver and nurturer. Her life revolved around those that she loved and she did all she could to give them her love and support. Her devotion to them was truly remarkable. Dawn is survived by her husband, Dave; her children: LouAnn Collins, Russell Schafer, Steve Schafer, Rick and Kellie Schafer, Donald and Angie Towne, and Roberta and Kevin Hammer; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her 8 siblings: Cecil Christman, Butch Christman, David and Diane Christman, Danny Christman, Mickey Christman, Randy Christman, Ruth and Howard Towne, and Kay Christman (Moline). She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Schafer and her sister, Betsy Parcher. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 1-2pm at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where the funeral service will be held at 2pm, Comer Skinner officiating. Interment at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township.
