David Pfarr

David "Mike" Pfarr, age 58, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Sunday morning, January 1, 2017. Mike was born June 7, 1958 in Baltimore, MD the son of Anthony Jr. and Jean (Hines) Pfarr. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. Mike was a pastor serving various congregations and the Gospel Mission. He also was a teacher at KVCC. Mike enjoyed Bible studies, science fiction, video games, and politics. Most of all, Mike enjoyed spending time with his family. On September 11, 1982 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, the former Linda Haan, who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Matt (Nicole) Pfarr, Nathan Pfarr, Joshua Pfarr, Steward Pfarr; 2 grandchildren, Ariella and Alex; his step-father, Emmert (Barbara) Claar; brother, Anthony Claar; and several nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Mike's life will be held at 11:00am Friday, January 6 at Agape Christian Church, 609 Cherokee. Friends may meet the family Thursday, January 5 from 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Cremation will follow the services. Memorials may be directed to the Kidney Foundation.
