David Milo Anderson, 81, of Michigan, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in Bronson Commons Rehabilitation Facility.

His life began August 27, 1945, in Niles, Michigan, one of five children born to Richard Lee and Mildred Arlene Anderson who lived on Anderson Road in rural Cassopolis until 1956.

David was raised in Southwest Michigan and subsequently attended Kalamazoo Central High School and Loy Norrix High Schools. He resided in rural Vicksburg, Michigan.

He spent much of his working life as a dedicated employee of Humphrey Products in Kalamazoo. He took great pride in his work and was especially proud of maintaining a perfect attendance record throughout his career; a reflection of his dependability, strong work ethic, and commitment to those who relied on him.

Away from work, David found his greatest happiness in rural living, especially his close bond with his neighbors next door. He enjoyed working outdoors, tending his gardens, and caring for his property. He appreciated the simple pleasures of country life and found satisfaction in watching things grow through patience and hard work.

Perhaps more than anything, David will be remembered for his generous spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors. His kindness, quiet generosity, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression.

David will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his sister, Carol Anderson-Parks of Sarasota, Florida; brothers, Bill Anderson of Schaumburg, Illinois, Doug (Beth) Anderson of Fort Meyers, Florida; niece, Michelle Ervin of Sarasota, Florida; and sister-in-law, Lisa Anderson of Bradenton, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Lee and Mildred Arlene Anderson; his younger brother, Thomas George Anderson; grandmother, Rose Elizabeth Anderson; and grandfather, Milo Anderson.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon in Halbritter Wickens Funeral Services, 615 East Main Street, Niles.

David will be laid to rest in Silverbrook Cemetery.

The family extends its sincere appreciation to the compassionate caregivers and staff of Bronson Commons in Mattawan for the kindness, dignity, and care they provided over David's almost six years of care.

David will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.
