Bryant, David E. 6/11/1942 - 6/3/2022 Battle Creek David Elliott Bryant, 79, of Battle Creek, died Friday June 3, 2022. Mr. Bryant, the son of the late Donald and Julittie Bryant was born June 11, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. He attended the Chicago Public Schools and graduated from high school. He served in the United States Army from July 12, 1960 - June 3, 1963 and received an Honorable Discharge, having attained the rank of Specialist Four. He was a Truck Driver and was employed by Greyhound and Jet Transit for more than thirty years, retiring in 2008. While working for Greyhound he relocated to Kalamazoo and moved to Battle Creek, in 2000. Mr. Bryant met and later married the former Arnisa Coleman, September 1, 2000, she survives. While living in Kalamazoo, he united with Christian Life Center, where he was an active member. He was a part of the Visitation Team, the Baptism Team and completed the Christian Courses. After coming to Battle Creek, he united with Second Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading, especially the bible, fishing, old movies and walking. He is also survived by son, Shawn (Alice) Bryant, Las Vegas, Nevada, daughters, Jataun Bryant and Ganai Bryant both of Detroit, Michigan, Rashelle Bryant, Kalamazoo, Michigan, Nadia Coleman, Toledo, Ohio and Juliette Bryant, Battle Creek, and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters, Juliette Yvonne Sanders, Jacqueline Henri and a granddaughter, Shankeya Bryant. Visitation, Sunday, June 12, 2022, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., T M Hughes-Perry Mortuary Service, Monday, June 13, 2022, 12:00 p.m., Second Missionary Baptist Church, with Reverend William Wyne, Officiating.
