Daniel Weirick

Weirick, Daniel 10/1/1933 - 11/19/2022 Kalamazoo Weirick, Daniel Coleman. 10/01/1933-11/19/2022 Kalamazoo, MI Daniel C. Weirick, age 89, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022. He was born on October 1, 1933 to Robert J. and Dorothy M. (Schoonover) Weirick. Dan graduated from Central High School and briefly attended Western Michigan University. He joined the U.S. Army in 1954 and served two years at Ft. Benjamin Harrison before being honorably discharged. In August of 1957, Dan married Marietta (Debi) Gibson. He worked for several companies as a sales representative and owned several successful small businesses before retiring at the age of 65. Dan was a lifelong member of the YMCA and enjoyed attending the WMU hockey, football and basketball games. Daniel is survived by his brother William Weirick, his sons David and Mark (Laura) Weirick, and seven grand children whom he adored. He was also had a very special relationship with his niece, MJ Bay, who assisted in his care. Daniel was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Debi, and six brothers and sisters.
