Daniel Rietsma

Daniel Rietsma, aged 55, of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 11, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Marie Rietsma. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Cathy (Blood) Rietsma; his children, Aaron Meyering, Daniel Rietsma, Patrick (Angela) Meyering, and Kelly (fiancee Robert Brown) Meyering; granddaughters, Mya Brown and Natalie Greenbauer; sisters, Linda (Paul) Howe, Diane (Mike) Barron, and Marcia (fiancee Ron Cunningham) Crandall; brother-in-law, Steve (Joyce) Blood; sister-in-law, Michelle (Kalie) Andrade; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday (location pending) with Pastor Larry French officiating. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home (2067 - 84th S.W., Byron Center). Memorial contributions may be made to The United Way.
