Grimmer, Cynthia "Cindy" Vicksburg, Michigan Cynthia "Cindy" Grimmer, age 60 of Vicksburg formerly of Kalamazoo, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 8, 2023. She was born on October 17, 1962, in Allen Park, Michigan, the daughter of Howard and Oneita (Woodbury) Bower. Cindy was a 1981 graduate of Allen Park High School. While attending Western Michigan University she met David Grimmer. They were married on March 1, 1986. Cindy graduated with her bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. She started and ran "The Learning Community" Co-op for several years. Cindy returned to school for her master's degree and started the Kalamazoo Christian Counseling services. She was a selfless Christian woman who was generous and passionate about serving people. Cindy enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. She had been on multiple missionary trips and was eager to spread the word of God. Cindy was an active member of Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church. Her family includes her husband Dave Grimmer; her children: Aaron (Kristy) Grimmer, Josh (Jessie) Grimmer, and Hannah (Ryan) McDonald; her brothers: Mike Bower and Larry Bower; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Christine. The family will greet friends on Thursday, April 13th, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. A funeral service will be held at Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church, 5550 Oakland Drive, Portage, on Friday, April 14th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dave Barringer officiating.
