Taken from us suddenly on May 31, 2021 ,at the age of 52. The memory of him will sustain all those grieving. Craig was born in 1969 in Kalamazoo, Michigan and was the only child of Clarence C. Kirkendall (preceded in death) and Phyllis Jean Ehrnstrom (survives). Craig worked hard and played hard and enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and friends. Over 25 years ago, Craig started his successful lawncare, landscaping and hydroseeding business and was known for the highest quality service and dependability. In 1994 Craig answered a personal ad after a nudge from his good friend Shele Jerke. On that day he met and got to know the love of his life, Cinzia. They were married 21 years ago and have built a wonderful life together. Craig was known to help anyone that needed it and took care of everyone in his family. He was an avid animal lover, all types of animals gravitated towards him and he had such a way with all of them. Craig and Cinzia have a dog kennel called Rott-N-Roll and have raised Grand Champion Rottweilers. Craig had a unique and special bond with one dog in particular, Bam Bam, he was his boy but he loved all the Kirkenkids in our dog pack. Craig loved life and sought out many adventures such as concerts, playing pool, skiing, riding his quad, dog shows, and searching for salt and pepper shakers to add to the collection. If you knew him well, you will laugh as I can imagine that you have your own Craig story, one that never saw him turn down a chance to do something and he usually led the way. Craig was part of the American Pool Association, the Midwest Business Exchange, and the Salt and Pepper Shaker Club.

Cremation has taken place and the family will have a memorial Service at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, Westside chapel. The date and time for the Memorial service is to be determined and will be updated once times are set.
