Clyde Coburn, age 85, of Martin passed away on October 17, 2017 at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. Clyde was born on September 27, 1932 to Mickle and Vina (Vanderpool) Coburn. Visit with his family and friends on Tuesday, October 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Life Story Funeral Home, Plainwell; 120 Woodhams St. (685-5881). A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. He will be interred at Fort Custer National Cemetery with military honors following the service at 1:00. Clyde’s family includes his children: Clyde Coburn Jr. Deborah Coburn Hudson, Lance (Jessica) DeNio; his siblings: Max (Garnet) Lewis of Richland, Clinton Coburn of Allegan, Bill (Carol) Khodl of Allegan, Jim (Evelyn) May of Richland, Dennis (Dorothy) Zugel of Allegan, Linda Ruhlig of Land O Lakes Florida, James (Debbie) Coburn of Plainwell, Gary (Susan) Coburn of Martin and Larry Coburn of Martin; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Clyde was preceded in death by his brother Carlos Coburn and his sisters Charlotte Warner Hoffman and Gwendolyn Meuller. Clyde served his Country proudly in the Army.
