Christine Ballard

Ballard, Christine 6/13/1944 - 11/1/2021 Christine Carol Ballard passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital November 1, 2021 from an extended respiratory illness. She was 77 years old. Christine, who lived in Portage, Michigan, was a passionate advocate for children's literacy, the arts, and animal welfare. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerome D. Ballard. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Ballard Schanker (son-in-law Larry Schanker), her brother, James R. Ballard, and her granddaughter, Gwen Schanker. A private Memorial Service will take place in the spring of 2022.
