Charles Skuza

Chuck went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday afternoon, August 20, 2021. He is at peace. Chuck was born March 14, 1948 in Joliet, IL the son of Charles and Julia (Cialkowski) Skuza. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. After receiving his bachelor's in Biology at Hillsdale College, Chuck supervised the Histology Laboratory at Borgess Hospital where he met his beloved Barbara. Chuck enjoyed home projects and was always helping others. He was a nature lover, enjoyed walking on the beach, loved Barb's cooking, and was always reading the Holy Bible or a good book. In retirement, Chuck and Barb enjoyed fishing, traveling, spending time with their daughters, and raising their grandkids. They were members of the First United Methodist Church in Kalamazoo, MI. On August 31, 1974 he was united in marriage to his loving wife Barbara (Valencourt), who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Alicia (Nickolas) Neitzel, Hilary (Benjamin) Lane, Emily (Nathan) Gutshall, and Tracie; grandchildren, Elsie and Colin Neitzel, Charlie and Graham Lane, Myra and Grady Gutshall, Drew and Elijah; sister and brother, Susan (Phil) Johnson and Barry (Diane) Skuza; and several nieces and nephews.
