Charles Russell, Jr.

Charles Russell Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Lansing, Michigan, on June 29, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in Bay Shore, NY, he lived a life rooted in strong Catholic faith, deep family devotion, and a love for life's simple pleasures. He is survived by his children: Michelle Russell Johnson (Neil), Lisa Russell, Collette Russell, Marlene Russell Stover (Howard), and Charlene Rabideau (Nathan); eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Collette, daughter Karen, his parents, and his brother Peter. Visitation will be held at Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes Delta Chapel on Wednesday, July 8 from 4:00pm-7:00pm with a Vigil Service at 6:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard Catholic Church in Lansing, Mi on Thursday, July 9 at 10:30am with Rev. Fr. Dwight Ezop as celebrant. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation at parkinsonsmi.org. Charlie will be remembered for his integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, steady presence, and the lasting legacy of love he leaves behind.
