Obituary
Charles Jenney age 101 passed away on June 26, 2025. He was born on October 18, 1923, in Johnson City, New York, the son of Earl B. and Clara (Balden) Jenney.
He served in the United States Air Corps at an airbase in France during WWII with the 410th bomber group. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and helped with entertainment at the Veterans Hospital.
After leaving the military Charles then married Vivian Jenney who preceded him in death and they have three surviving children, Ronald Jenney, Wendy Jenney and Linda Ryder and five Grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Daniel, Benjamin and Elizabeth and 4 Great Grandchildren, Judson, Sammuel, Noah and Valiana.
Charles worked for and retired from the Kalamazoo Fire Department and then Old Kent Bank and liked flying planes, sports, travel, dancing and playing cards.
On October 19, 2002, he married Marie Bauske who preceded him in death, and he is survived by two stepdaughters, Patricia Husek and Jeanne Baes and four Grandchildren Brian, Ken, Heather, and Jenny and four Great Grandchildren, Kiersten, Bowen, Tad, and Hannah.
Funeral services for Charles will be on Tuesday, July 1 at Langeland Family Funeral Home 3926 S. 9th St. Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Friends are invited to visit the family from 10 to 11 when the funeral service will begin. Chuck will be laid to rest with full military honors at North Shore Memory Gardens following the funeral.
