Cathy Jamison

Cathy Lynn Jamison, 47, of Traverse City, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, with her family by her side, and after a long battle with cancer. She was born on Oct. 13, 1966, in Bay Shore, Long Island, N.Y., the daughter of Norman and Constance (Cromell) Albin.

Cathy lived in Las Vegas for over four years before moving to Traverse City, where she met her future husband, Dean Jamison. They were married on May 25, 2002, in Las Vegas. She loved the Las Vegas area and the mountains.

Cathy loved to listen to music and to dance.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Dean; mother, Constance Albin, of Traverse City; twin sisters, Chrissy Albin, of Traverse City, and Carla Albin, of Florida; nephews, Jason Garst, Eric Albin, Austin Orth, Cyle Schmuckal and Cadin Schmuckal; niece, Savanna Albin; great-nephew, Giovanni Garst; and father and mother-in-law, Theodore and Jan Jamison.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman; and sister, Cindy Garst-Busker.

Cremation will take place. Private family services will be held.
