Carroll MacInness

MACINNESS - Carroll Clark MacInness, aged 87, of Cascade, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara; children, Brian MacInness, Jeri MacInness, Kevin MacInness and Brett (Diane) MacInness; brother, Roger (Kay) MacInness; grandchildren, Nicole (Peter) Hay, Remo Celis, Delaney MacInness, Shannon Kohlmeier, Rain (Scott) Almoney; and three great grandchildren. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He played the saxophone professionally, was the first band director at Forest Hills High School, was quality control manager at Gibson Guitar Company, then vice president of Electrical Assembles and finished his career as band director at Comstock Park High School. His favorite pastime was sailing the Great Lakes but the most important thing in his life was his wife and family. Memorial services will be Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Cascade Christian Church, 2829 Thornapple River Dr. SE., Pastor Jill Forton, officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. Visitation Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE.
