Carrie E. Graham of Kalamazoo. MI., passed away Saturday evening, November 4, 2023 at her home. Carrie was born August 27, 1940 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Edward H. and Marjorie G. (Newlin) DeForest. She was a class of 1958 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and a graduate of Chic Cosmetology where she taught some classes and won awards for hair design. Carrie was a longtime 75-year member of the West Oshtemo Baptist Church which she attended since she was 8 years old. She had Carrie's Karaoke in Kalamazoo for many years. From there she went to her first love "cooking" and started "Catering and Fabulously Good" catering service. She went to the Farmers market in Kalamazoo when she was a little girl with her Grandfather Ben Newlin where they sold melons for 10 cents and had a booth at Texas Corners Farmers Market in the 2000's where she sold Ezekiel bread and pies and muffins. She also volunteered with Van Buren Senior Services teaching Mah Jong.

On April 7, 2007 Carrie was united in marriage to her loving husband Frederick Graham, who survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Marjorie Jo (Jeff) Alexander; she was preceded in death by her daughter Cherie E Pomeroy; also surviving are step-daughters, Sabrina Graham, Amanda Graham; grandchildren, Andrew (Ashley) Pomeroy, Benjamin Pomeroy, Nicholas Pomeroy, Brandie Ellen Pomeroy, Christopher (Laura) Alexander, Katharine (Lucas) Plocher; 5 great-grandchildren, Victoria and Natalie Pomeroy, Jonathan and Abigail Alexander, Logan Plocher; special niece, Evonne Heystek; and cousins, Fred Dutton and preceded in death by her Cousin Barbara (Louie) Geresy. Friends may meet the family from 10:00am-11:00am on Thursday, November 9 at West Oshtemo Baptist Church, 10580 West KL Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 where funeral services will follow at 11:00am.
