Albert, Carolyn Kalamazoo Age 91, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her home. Carolyn was born in Grand Rapids, on January 10, 1930, the daughter of E. Cole and Ada (Derby) Caswell. On September 27, 1957, she married Richard Raymond Albert, who preceded her in death in 2017. Carolyn enjoyed knitting and raising orchids. She was also an avid opera fan. Carolyn was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she served as librarian for almost 50 years. She also shared her love of reading as a substitute teacher for many years. Most of her time though, was devoted to raising her sons and making a loving home for them. Their times at the family cabin in the Upper Peninsula hold memories that are dear to the entire family. Carolyn is survived by her sons, Richard (Andrea) Albert, of Pleasant View, UT, and Stephen (Cindy) Albert of Twin Lakes, MI; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, David (Sandy) Caswell of Alma; sister, Laurna Burdick of Sun City, CA; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Raymond Andrew Albert. The family is planning a memorial service to be held at a time when it is safe for all of us to be together again. Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church. Friends and family may share a condolence message online at www.joldersma-klein.com.
