Caroline Summerfield

Summerfield , Caroline 9/13/1927 - 4/15/2021 Kalamazoo Age 93, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at her home with family at her side. Caroline was born in Kalamazoo, Sep. 13, 1927, the only child of the late Carl & Josephine (Kloosterman) Hafner. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School, Class of 1946, and retired from Gilmore Brothers Department Store in 1993, after 19 years of sales. On Feb. 15, 1947, she married Roger Summerfield, who preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1979. She believed in the Lord and was a faithful member of St. Andrews Community Church. She is survived by her son, Roger J. (Gail) Summerfield; two grandchildren, Molly and Jacob Summerfield; many cousins. A graveside service to honor her life will be held at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park South on Friday, April 23, 2021, beginning at 1:00 PM, with Rev. James Dyke officiating.
