Carol Lynn Raczkowski

Carol Lynn Raczkowski 76 of Portage, Michigan passed away Monday December 18, 2023 at Centrica Rose Arbor Place. Carol was born December 2, 1947 in Grand Rapids the daughter of Herbert and Margaret (Riley) Papke. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Michigan University and retired from Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital as an occupational therapist. Carol was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church where she was active in the Lap Rope Group, she volunteered with Caring Network and with tax preparation for seniors, she enjoyed sailing and ceramics. On June 10, 1971 in Grand Rapids Carol was united in marriage to John Raczkowski who survives. Also surviving are two children, Fr. Andrew Raczkowski, Katherine Raczkowski; grandson, Nathanyel Raczkowski; two brothers, Thomas (Jana) Papke, William Papke; sister-in-law, Beverly Papke; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Raczkowski; two brothers, Roger Papke, Robert Papke. Friends will be received 4-7 pm Friday December 23, 2023 at St. Monica Catholic Church, Kalamazoo where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Saturday at St. Monica Catholic Church with Fr. Andrew Raczkowski, celebrant. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica Church, Right to Life, Caring Network or Centerica Care Rose Arbor Place where they cared for her in her last days.
