Carol (Schutz) Harding was born July 25, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Robert F. and Lorraine Schutz and died February 4, 2020. She was the older sister of twin boys, Bobby (wife Susie) and Ronny (wife Karen), surviving. Carol graduated from State High in 1957 and went on to graduate from Michigan State University in 1961. She married her high school sweetheart Thomas Henry (d. 2011) on March 3, 1962. Carol, along with her husband, Tom, was an avid golfer with many City and County titles, including countless Gull Lake Country Club Championships. Tom and Carol were enthusiastic and loyal MSU Spartan fans, providing tailgating for family and friends for over 30 years - and followed the team to Rose Bowls and Final Fours. Above all, she was a special person, unfailing in her devotion to her husband and children, and friends, many since kindergarten (Mary, Priscilla, Randy, Bob, and Gar) and her dogs, including Lucy and Pattie. She is survived by her three children: Thomas M. (wife Peggy) Harding, Timothy R. (wife Sarah) Harding and Carolynne (husband Noah) Livingston; grandchildren Caroline, Priscilla, and Elizabeth Harding, Esther Seawell, Robert, Catherine, Rachel, and Molly Harding, and Ted and Hank Livingston. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her devoted husband Thomas in 2011. Michigan Avenue Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (Please indicate KCCP in the memo line or cover letter). Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday, February 7, 2020, at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday at St. Lukes Episcopal Church 247 W. Lovell, Kalamazoo. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
