Bonnie June Gose, age 85, of Greenville, passed away Friday morning, April 8, 2022 at her home under the care of those she loved. The daughter of Arnold E. & Minnie Ann (Haney) Gose, she was born on July 26, 1936 in LaGrange County, Indiana. She was raised on a farm in southern Michigan where she was happy driving tractors, working the fields, and even milking the cows. After graduating from Vicksburg High School, she worked at the Haas Corporation factory in Mendon. While still working days, she attended classes on nights and weekends at Glen Oaks Community College, Western Michigan University, and the Lawrence Institute of Technology, eventually earning her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Aquinas College. Bonnie delighted in riding her motorcycle, having farm animals, and showing her purebred dogs (Keeshonden and Airdales). In the late 1960's she moved to Southfield where she began her career at Federal Mogul corporate offices, transferring to the Greenville plant in 1979, when the community of Greenville became her home. After retiring from the Federal Mogul Corporation in 1997, she served in leadership positions at the newly established Greenville Community Church as office administrator, as well as serving on the church board for many years. More recently, she attended the First Church of God in Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Janet Eihleen Gose and Doris Nelle Gose; a brother-in-law, Doug Truckey; a sister-in-law, Sharon Gose; a niece, Kimberlee Kay Aquiree; and a nephew, Dennis Alan Truckey. Surviving are a sister, Janice Truckey of Vicksburg; two brothers, Bill Gose of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Wilbur & Janice Gose of Campbellsville, Kentucky; dear friends, Wilma Stidham and Janet Delamater, both of Greenville; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews; and many special friends. Visitation is from 3-4 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rev. Madelyn Thompson, pastor of Maple Valley Community Church in Trufant, will officiate and burial will take place privately in the Gose family plot at Vicksburg Cemetery, Schoolcraft Township. Instead of flowers, Bonnie would have appreciated contributions in her memory to Have Mercy (https://havemercymi.org/donate/). Envelopes for contributions will be available at the funeral home.
