Bob Chorney

Robert Jerome Chorney, age 86, passed away March 25, 2024 after a short battle with cancer and a long fight with dementia. Bob was born July 30, 1937 in Grand Rapids, to the late Alexander and Annie (Nowak) Chorny. He graduated from Grand Rapids Junior College and was an instructor for the U.S. Army Missle School. Bob owned and operated his own business, Pacific Home Lending in Monterey, CA. He is survived by his sisters, Sandy (Richard) Brown and Deb (Tom) Franckowiak; step daughters, Romy Taormina and Denise Fineroff-Lucarelli; nieces and nephews, Mike (Glenda) Brown, Julie (Doug) Kuhn, Dr. Emily (Bret Miller) Franckowiak, Tess (Cam) Daisy, and Abby Franckowiak. Bob was preceded in death by his nephew, Scott Anthony Brown. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
