Blancett, Billy A. Vicksburg, Michigan Billy A. Blancett, age 83 of Vicksburg, died peacefully at home under hospice care, with all his family by his side, on September 25, 2021. He was born January 11, 1938, in Newport, Arkansas, the son of John and Madgie (Trentham) Blancett. At the United General Baptist Church in Parchment, Billy met Elezebeth "Ann" Woody and they were married on July 17, 1959. He had worked over the years at Panelit, Simpson Paper, Spectrum Colors, and had retired from Duncan Aviation. Family was everything to Billy. His family includes his wife of 62 years, Ann Blancett; his daughters: Brenda (Ben) Daam, Barbara (Eric) Hine, and Janice (Laszlo) Csiszar; his grandchildren: Andrea (Jared) Nordblom, Jeff (Jessie) Daam, Karen (Dan) Martinez, Brodie Daam, Alexis Daam, Jamie (Roy) Paul, Nicole (Brian) Richard, Sarah Hine, Kaylee (Doug) Heystack, Ashley Csiszar, and Laszlo (Kristi) Csiszar; his great-grandchildren: Ethan Norblom, Emery, Irelyn, Eden & Mila Daam, Kyleigh, Brielle, and Drake Martinez, Cade, Griffin, Killian, Emlyn, and Indiana Richard, Hunter, Ian, Emalee Heystack, and Winter Csiszar; his brother Jerry (Donna) Blancett; his sister Marlene Parton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents and his brothers: Virgil, Calvin, Bob, Glenn, and Johnny Blancett. Friends may visit with his family on Wednesday, September 29, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 411 East Centre Avenue, Portage, MI 49002. In honor of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, a funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 30, at 2:00 PM at the Portage Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Schoolcraft Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Billy may be made to Hospice of Southwest Michigan.
