Of Fulton
Bill Smith, age 92 of Fulton passed away September 19, 2016 at his daughter’s home. A short graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the North Fulton Cemetery. Bill was born December 30, 1923 in Kalamazoo, MI. He is the son of Charles B. & Ruth (Nye) Smith. He graduated in 1942 from Kalamazoo Central High School. Bill enlisted as an aviation cadet in October of 1942. He was a B-26 pilot in WWII and retired on November 1, 1945 from the USAF. Bill married Gloria Gilley on December 8, 1945. They have 3 sons: Daniel (Vicki) Smith, Stephen (Judy) Smith, Terry Smith and his daughter Donna (Dwight) Blodgett. Bill was a farm equipment dealer for Allis-Chalmers and Oliver for 30 years. He retired from business in 1975. He spent 25 winters in N. Ft. Myers, Florida. The family was assisted by Life Story Funeral Home (269 649-1697).
