Betty Cook

Cook, Betty 10/2/1948 - 11/19/2016 Lawton Mi Betty Jean Cook, maiden name Block, of Lawton MI, passed on November 19th 2016 at the age of 68. She passed after a bravely fought lengthy battle with cancer Betty was a deeply loving, tender hearted woman and was cherished by many. Her faith in God was strong and she was a longstanding and active member at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church of Portage. She was gracious, patient and compassionate, inspiring all who knew her. She had a tireless work ethic that left a lasting influence on her loved ones. She was an avid gardener and home decorator who approached every project with enthusiasm and determination. Most importantly, Bettys' dedication to her family and living a life of kindness and warmth brought great joy to all of her loved ones and inspired the many lives she touched. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, James and Euphrosine Block of Saginaw, MI. She was survived by her husband, Jonathan Cook, son James Doyle and wife Julie, step children Raina Cook and husband Josh Sodini-Johnson, Azriel Martin and husband Josh, and Noah Cook, grandchildren Caitlin and Brittany Muraoka, Hailie Doyle, Ronan, Marley and Twyla Mcconnell and Graeme Martin, siblings James Block and wife Nancy, Susan Johnson and husband Ralph, Dorothy Vedrode and husband Burr, Jeanne Boske and husband Michael Services will be held at St Catherine of Siena in Portage on Saturday, December 3rd. Visitaion at 10 a.m., mass at 11 a.m. Family is requesting in lieu of flowers, please donate to a family in need over the holidays through St. Catherine of Siena -
