Bertha Jean (Van Houten) Lucas, age 82, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Van Houten and Harold Lucas; and her grandson, Joshua Van Horssen. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Douglas, Linda Van Horssen, Robyn and Rick Kooiker; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Fred and Alice Huizinga, Calvin and Joanne Huizinga, Dave Huizinga, Alvin Huizinga, Robert and Linda Huizinga, Jim and Barb Huizinga; sister, Judy and Bud DeKorne; sisters-in-law, Ruth Toonstra, Marilyn Purcell; brother-in-law, Dave and Linda Van Houten, Marvin Huizingh; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 am on Saturday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive with Rev. Mark Bennink officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.
