Bernice Stowman

Stowman, Bernice L. 7/23/1934 - 12/19/2020 Gobles Passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 in White Oak Assisted Living in Lawton. Bernice was born July 23, 1934 in Kalamazoo, MI the daughter of Kyle and Celia (Stoughton) Pease and has lived in the Gobles area all of her life. She was a member of Gobles United Methodist Church. She was the rock of the family, loving mother, wife and a good friend. She was known for her cooking and pies. Surviving are her 2 daughters, Karen (Daryl) Doublestein of Otsego, Cathy (Wade Wesseling) Stowman of Gobles; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Marie, Michelle, Beau; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Monna Covalt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Stowman, in 2003; daughter, Cynthia; brother, Bernard. Bernice will be laid to rest in Robinson Cemetery, Bloomingdale Township with a private family service. Arrangements entrusted to the Gobles Chapel, D. L.
